Every year, people fish on more than 150 lakes throughout the ZEC Dumoine, for a total of more than 20,000 days on the water. The most sought after species of fish found in our waters are speckled trout, splake, walleye, northern pike, and lake trout. Constantly improving fishing quality! Our high quality fishing is due to the purity and natural productivity of our bodies of water and the constant work of our employees. The following measures are also fundamental in maintaining the quality of our fish stocks:

Catch and release regulations for walleye under 37 cm (14”1/2) in effect 2011!

Efforts to maintain and increase the giant speckled trout population (average weight of more than 500 grams (18 oz.).

Stocking, spawning ground development, reintroduction of native populations, special regulations on many bodies of water, daily creel limits of seven speckled trout etc. are examples of the efforts undertaken to ensure quality fishing in the years to come!
